 1-0 vs la Chapin

Pre season tournament started off with a bang as MRFC played a top side in La Chapin.  Both clubs were favorites to play in the Championship.  It was unfortunate that we played each other in the 1st rd.  Two 15 minute halves was the structure for the matches and both sides created some chances but MRFC had more of the ball.  2nd half Garfield and Juele were brought on for some skill and pace.  Garfield was controlling the ball and Juele was running of the ball very well.  In the 8th minute Juele broke free on the sideline and dribbled about 25yrds and gave a perfect pass to an oncoming Ryan Olsen who had a clinical finish from 6yrds out.  The keeper had no chance and MRFC were up 1 nil.  Carlos was Substituted and so was Ryan.  Nick Keng and B come on.  The Last 5 minutes of the match was having La Chapin pressure us by having about 4 straight corners.  The refs were as always giving everything against us in the waning moments of the match.  Even with the refs help La Chapin could brak through and new Goalkeeper Will made some great saves.  MRFC advances

1-1 (3-2) loss on PKS vs Olyimpia

This game was ours for the taking.  we were on top in the 7th minute from the spot as Andres Parra took the kick.  He hit it to the left of the keeper who saved it but the ball came right back to Dre and calmly finished it passed the outstretched arms of the keeper.  1-nil.  Game was going back and forth but we were the more dangerous side. 2nd half we came out a little bit soft and they started to control the midfield. about 8minutes in the were attacking from the right flank and crossed the ball in. The lines raises his flag.  Our keeper comes out and tries to catch the ball at the sametime their forward runs into our keeper knocks the ball out of his hands and scores.  The linesman is now waving his flag for the foul.  The ref gives the goal saying that the player never interfered with our keeper never touched him and that the goal stands.  The linesman told him he did.  Anyways 1-1 now typical IDIOT ref that always seems to give just the donkiest of calls against us.  The ref calls the game.  One of our supporters comes to me and says that the half was only 12 minutes.  Again another bad call for the ref.  We go to spot kicks and they make all 3 we miss 1 and thats game.  I do not like to make excuses plain and simple we just need to score more often so wheb the ref wants to decide the outcome of the match hopefully we would have made it very difficult for him.
