CHAMPIONS! MRFC wins the league! 3-1 over Pan Afrik
We came out strong and had some early chances. We controlled it early and it payed off. Alex found an overlapping Lucas from the back wide open. Lucas took 2 touches and passed it under the keeper for 1-nil. Pan Afirk took control of the game after that. We switched from a 4-3-3 to a 4-4-2. They still controlled the middle and created many chances thru it. Our defense stood strong and nothing got thru. Carlos and Peater took a corner. Carlos then found Christian at the top of the box. Christian controlled the ball and lofted it upper ninety past the keeper. 2- nil. 2nd half we packed the middle in and made Pan Afrik try to use their wings. It worked as they were getting frustrated. Abdoul the man of the match was all over the place. The team finally fed off of him and we started moving the ball much better. We swithced to a 4-5-1 and Pan Afrik lost it. We just kept countering and countering. One counter found Carlos 1v1. The ball bounced and Carlos read it right as the defender missed played it Carlos took the ball in to the box and the defender tripped him in the box. Carlos went down and rolled and screamed. The linesman came to Carlos and said you can stop now you won the penality kick. Their player got a red. 5 minutes later after Pan Afrik calmed down Carlos cooley placed the ball to the keepers lower right hand corner. 3-nil. Pan Afrik got 1 back but the game was over by then and MRFC were crowned Champions!!!!!!!!
